The
Georgia-Poland Partnership was established in 1995 by the
Georgia Credit Union Affiliates and the National Association
of Cooperative Savings and Credit Unions in Poland, in order
to work together for the further development of their associated
credit unions. The two organizations agreed to cooperate in
these areas in particular:

in development and implementation of new credit union services
and products for the benefit of the Partner organizations
and their member credit unions;
- Creation
of direct training opportunities for selected leaders of
newly established Polish credit unions by Georgia Credit
Union Affiliates and its associated credit unions through
Credit Union Internship Program;
- Exchange
of information, expertise and experiences which will benefit
the Partners and their associated credit unions and ensure
dissemination of credit union ideals in both countries;
- Direct
funding of special projects aimed to further facilitate
development of the credit union movements in both countries;
- Technical
assistance through consultancies provided by representatives
of the Partner organizations for the benefit of the Poland
and/or Georgia credit unions;
- Exchange
visits by leaders of the Partner organizations and their
associates in order to enhance understanding of common needs
and foster close personal relationships;
- Other
forms of cooperation agreed upon and identified by the Partners
in the course of implementation of this Partnership Agreement.
